July 9, 2014

Dear Wildcat Family:

I hope that you have had a great summer. We are preparing for your arrival for preseason football camp.  As our transition and summer vacation season is just about completed, we are excited about what is about to take place in our football program.

We have a couple of really important upcoming dates that you need to note on your calendar.

First, we want you to know that our prep camp will only be two days this year, Wednesday and Thursday, July 30th & 31st.  This camp is design to place special emphasis on our young “Cats” at the junior high and freshman level. “It is strongly encouraged that all junior high school (7th & 8th graders) and freshman football players registrar and attend the prep camp in order to get an opportunity to be the best player that you can when regular practices start. Please see the Palestine ISD web site ( for sign up and more information or pick up a sign up form in the Palestine High School front office.  The cost is only $10; which will include a T-Shirt, breakfast and lunch.

Secondly, we want to inform you about this year’s fall preseason two-a-days camp.  This year’s camp will start on Monday, August 4th. All 2014 High School WILDCATS, (freshmen, sophomores, juniors & seniors), are required to check-in at the field house between 3:00 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. on this date.

Also, all of your final physical and eligibility paperwork must be completed and on file in the trainer’s office before camp starts. Please make sure you take care of these things before you report so that you will not have to be dismissed. If you have any questions or need help with the physical and/or eligibility paperwork, please contact coach LeeAnn Nickerson immediately 903-731- 2178 or myself at ext. 2167.

Again, we are looking forward to continuing a winning culture at Wildcat Country.  Please do your best to be part of this experience.

“If Better is Possible, Then Good is Unacceptable!”
