Lincoln / A. M. Story Alumni Scholarship

Palestine High School seniors meeting the following criteria set out by the Alumni can apply for this scholarship:

·         Have a GPA of 3.0 or above (consideration will be given to applicants with a lesser GPA)

·         Have a familial connection with a former Lincoln / A. M. Story High School student (This criterion is preferable; however, consideration will be given if this criterion is not met.)

Anderson County Master Gardeners

Horticulture or Related Scholarship

2025-2026 Academic Year

Anderson County Master Gardeners Association (ACMGA), a non-profit, trained volunteer

organization, a component of Texas AgriLife Extension Service, promotes volunteer education and

service in the community. As part of our mission, ACMGA is offering 3 scholarships of $2,000

each. Area of studies should be in agriculture, horticultural, or botany science.

Eligibility Requirements:

1. ACMGA seeks to identify and reward highly motivated students who show strong

commitment and dedication to reaching their goals.

2. Grades are only one of many criteria to be considered, and all qualified students are

encouraged to apply. Decisions of ACMGA are final.

3. Educational programs of the ACMGA are open to all people without regard to race, color,

religion, sex, national origin, disability, or genetic information.

4. Scholarship applicants agree to allow ACMGA to publicize the award and use the applicant’s

name, educational history, course of study, schools attended and applicant’s image and

likeness in all forms of media, including but not limited to print and electronic media, social

media, internet websites and video presentations.

5. The applicant must be a U. S. citizen or a legal US resident

6. The applicant must be a graduating as high school senior from an Anderson County, Texas

school with 3.0 GPA or higher, including home schooled students.

7. The applicant must intend to major in agriculture, horticulture, botany or a related field as a

university, located in Texas, during the fall semester following graduation from high school

with the intent of receiving a degree.

Kailee Mills Foundation

The purpose of the Kailee Mills Foundation Scholarship Program is to educate teen drivers about seat belt safety through seat belt awareness, research, volunteerism, and leadership. Scholarship recipients deliver high levels of academic achievement, ambition, leadership, and a desire to make a difference.
We award numerous scholarships to students across the United States each year. The scholarship awards vary in range but could be up to $20,000. These scholarships must be used at any 2-year or 4-year accredited college or university. All applicants must show academic achievement and help to spread seat belt safety awareness in their community. The scholarship application is now open, and we will accept applications through March 15, 2025.
Eligibility
Applicants must:

  •  Be a high school senior or current post-secondary undergraduate. 

  •  Receive or have received a high school diploma at/by the end of the graduating school year. (If you are a current college student, you must have taken classes consecutively).

  •  Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university in a full-time (at least 12 hours) degree-seeking program for the first time

  •  Be a US citizen or legal resident. 

Academic Achievement
Applicants should:

  • Have a current GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale

  • Have at least a 1050 SAT score or a 20 ACT (UPDATE: Now that many colleges do not require SAT or ACT, submitting these scores are now optional. If you wish to submit them, it will help your score. However, if you do not submit them, it will not hurt your score.

Citizenship and Character
Strong applicants would:

  • Demonstrate a desire to make a meaningful contribution to society

  • Have volunteered for organizations in their community and submit verifiable proof of volunteer hours

Applicants must plan to attend a state certified public or private trade school, technical or vocational school, community college, junior college, college, university, post-graduate institution, or professional school. Scholarship recipients must begin utilizing scholarship awards within two (2) years of graduation from high school. Continuing Cardinals Scholarship Program - Murchison Foundation

Rules and General Information

The scholarship applicant must be:

  •  a current student in homeschool or one of the School Districts of Anderson or Houston County,

  •  a resident of Anderson or Houston County,

  •  anticipating graduation in the Spring of the current school year,

  •  planning to enroll in the college of their choice any semester of the following school year only.

  •  Applicants should have an interest in music, Drama, or the fine arts, but do not have to major in the

    fine arts to receive the scholarship.

  •  Applicants who have volunteered and/or performed during their high school years in PCT

    productions are also eligible to receive the scholarship.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who do not meet the first two (2) criteria but have volunteered or participated in PCT productions may also apply.

Jr. Service League Scholarship Application

Every year, the Palestine Junior Service League hosts a fundraising gala and auction. All proceeds support league-sponsored projects and programs benefittin_g Anderson County. One of such benefits is the PJSL Scholarship awarded to local high school seniors. Palestine Junior Service League is a service based organization, and our scholarship is designed to reward students who have not only excelled academically, but who have also demonstrated a desire to serve and improve their community. The number and amount of scholarships awarded is determined yearly by a vote of the PJSL Scholarship Committee and the funds allocated to the program after the annual gala.

In order to be deemed eligible for consideration, a student must:

Red Bird leaders will be able to take two leadership courses for college credit and gain valuable leadership experience and skills that help build a resume. Red Birds work in the Recruiting and Admissions office, giving campus tours, greeting guests at the front desk, assisting with recruiting visits to their home high schools, attending school events, and helping wherever needed.
