🧪🔬 Real-World Science in Action at PHS! AP Environmental Science students are diving into toxicology by investigating the effects of alcohol on redworms to better understand LD₅₀ (lethal dose) and how substances impact living organisms. Through this hands-on lab, students are exploring how scientists determine toxicity levels, analyze data, and make connections to environmental and human health. Southside Elementary staff enjoyed a wonderful potluck picnic! Our maintenance man, Byron White, and our school resource officer, LaMorris Marshall, grilled up some delicious burgers while our staff brought all the amazing side dishes, dips, and desserts. Time spent together like this reminds us what a special team we have at Southside. It truly feels like family.
