From creating beautiful bulletin boards to designing banners that brighten our campus, she goes above and beyond to make Southside a welcoming place for our students and staff. 🍕🩵Community Makes the Difference! 🩵🍕 At Southside Elementary, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our community! A huge thank you to Mr. Patel and Little Caesars for providing pizza to keep our staff fueled and motivated during Meet the Teacher Night. We also want to thank CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Palestine for donating the comfortable couch that helps make our staff space warm and welcoming. These generous contributions are wonderful reminders of what can happen when schools and community partners come together. Your kindness and support mean so much to our staff, students, and families. Serving beyond the court! 🏐❤️ Today, a few of our high school volleyball girls spent the day at Southside Elementary helping teachers laminate, cut classroom materials, and deliver books. We are so proud of these young ladies for giving back and helping prepare for the next generation of Wildcats. Thank you for your servant hearts and willingness to make a difference!! 🐾🏐

Today, the amazing team at Palestine Toyota delivered an incredible collection of prizes for our students and staff, and we couldn't be more grateful! From bicycles, sports equipment, toys, games, and art supplies to complimentary oil & filter changes and other services for our staff, they truly went above and beyond to make our 2nd Annual "Driven to Succeed" Attendance Incentive Program a success.

Throughout the school year, students and staff who earn perfect attendance each month will be entered into a monthly prize drawing, with even bigger grand prizes waiting for those who maintain perfect attendance all year long!

🏗️ Bond 2025 Update | Progress You Can See! Big things are happening across Palestine ISD as our Bond 2025 projects continue to move forward! At Palestine Junior High, roofing improvements are underway, while Southside Elementary is seeing exciting progress with road and traffic improvements that will enhance safety and accessibility for our students, staff, and families. These projects are made possible through the dedication of our incredible Palestine ISD Maintenance Department working side-by-side with skilled contractors. We’re especially proud to partner with many local businesses while also welcoming specialized contractors from outside our community whose expertise is helping bring these projects to life. And we’re just getting started… 🔹 Next up: New air conditioning units arrive at Palestine Junior High. 🔹 Coming next week: Big things are happening at Palestine High School—stay tuned! Southside librarian Katelyn Ward has released her third book, and it is absolutely beautiful. The illustrations are stunning. Be on the lookout for her at the Palestine Farmers Market, where she will be sharing and selling her newest book, Five Senses of a Bat.

Southside Elementary staff enjoyed a wonderful potluck picnic! Our maintenance man, Byron White, and our school resource officer, LaMorris Marshall, grilled up some delicious burgers while our staff brought all the amazing side dishes, dips, and desserts. Time spent together like this reminds us what a special team we have at Southside. It truly feels like family.
