🐰🦆🦎 Wild About Learning at Southside Elementary! 🐾🔍 Our 3rd grade reading unit on classifying animals by their characteristics came to life with some very special visitors! Students in Mrs. Retana’s and Mrs. R. Garcia’s classes became real-life animal scientists as they observed a variety of animals up close. They studied physical characteristics and behaviors, recorded their observations, and then shared and discussed what they discovered with their classmates. There’s nothing like hands-on learning to turn reading and science skills into an unforgettable experience! 💡📚 From feathers and fur to scales and webbed feet, our Southside students were observing, comparing, classifying, and learning every step of the way! 🦆🐇🦎 A very special THANK YOU to Mrs. Ingram and Mrs. Schwab for sharing their animals with us today and helping make this learning experience so memorable for our students! We appreciate you bringing our lessons to life! ❤️🐾

As our attendance registrar, she keeps us organized and on track, and she is definitely our resident spreadsheet queen! 👑📊 But Madison never limits herself to just her own responsibilities. She jumps in wherever she is needed, whether that means helping reinforce campus expectations, pitching in with lunch duty, supporting the office, or taking care of the countless little things that help our school run smoothly. Today, the amazing team at Palestine Toyota delivered an incredible collection of prizes for our students and staff, and we couldn't be more grateful! From bicycles, sports equipment, toys, games, and art supplies to complimentary oil & filter changes and other services for our staff, they truly went above and beyond to make our 2nd Annual "Driven to Succeed" Attendance Incentive Program a success.

Throughout the school year, students and staff who earn perfect attendance each month will be entered into a monthly prize drawing, with even bigger grand prizes waiting for those who maintain perfect attendance all year long!

🏗️ Bond 2025 Update | Progress You Can See! Big things are happening across Palestine ISD as our Bond 2025 projects continue to move forward! At Palestine Junior High, roofing improvements are underway, while Southside Elementary is seeing exciting progress with road and traffic improvements that will enhance safety and accessibility for our students, staff, and families. These projects are made possible through the dedication of our incredible Palestine ISD Maintenance Department working side-by-side with skilled contractors. We’re especially proud to partner with many local businesses while also welcoming specialized contractors from outside our community whose expertise is helping bring these projects to life. And we’re just getting started… 🔹 Next up: New air conditioning units arrive at Palestine Junior High. 🔹 Coming next week: Big things are happening at Palestine High School—stay tuned!
