Through Bond 2025's Proposition A, Palestine ISD proposes to address a new career and technology education center, provide renovations to aging facilities, including new HVAC, flooring, roofing, drainage, windows, ceilings, LED lighting, accessibility, improve parking and traffic patterns in and around campuses, and additional safety and security upgrades.

About Bond 2025
The Palestine ISD strategic plan, Strive to ‘25, was developed in 2021-22 by 130 or more citizens. The committee included parents, staff, business representatives, community members, and trustees.
Among other items, Strive to ‘25 included plans for district facilities. In 2025, after reviewing Strive to ‘25, data from a demographer, and facility assessments, administrators recommended that the Palestine ISD Board of Trustees call for a $60 million bond. The Board approved calling for a bond election at a meeting on August 18, 2025.

Election 2025 will impact every student and staff member in Palestine ISD.

New Career and Technical Education Facility
Bond 2025 funds a new Career & Technology Education Center to allow for expanded CTE Opportunities.
The center will include, but not limited to, journalism, culinary/hospitality classes, and a meeting space for PISD, as well as community use.

Safety and Security
Proposition A funds secure vestibules, playground upgrades, additional parking areas and address traffic patterns throughout the district.
Safety and security projects would impact every student and every campus.

District-Wide Upgrades
Proposition A funds district-wide upgrades, including roofing, HVAC, flooring, bathroom repairs, windows, accessibility, LED lighting, and painting for all district facilities.
PISD facilities include the Palestine ISD Employee Daycare, Washington Early Childhood Center, Northside Primary, Southside Elementary, A.M. Story Intermediate, Palestine Junior High, and Palestine High School.
